About Me
I am the direct descendant of Louris Jansen Opdyck of New Netherlands. I live in Flintstone, Georgia, near Chattanooga, Tennessee. I am also a member of the Dutch Colonial Society. I'm a retired critical care registered nurse; married with five children, six grandchildren and an avid genealogist. Besides my two Dutch lineage societies, I am a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution; Magna Charta Dames; Colonial Dames of the 17th Century; Huguenot Society; Manakin Huguenot Society; Daughters of American Colonists; Daughters of 1812; Daughters of Indian Wars; Daughters of Colonial Wars; United Daughters of the Confederacy; Daughters of the Union; Descendants of Colonial Clergy; Dames of the Court of Honor; Southern Dames of America; and First Families of Tennessee. I am a spinner and weaver, love to crochet, tat, embroider and read. I write nature stories for my grandchildren and enjoy camping in our Casita.
