About Me

What a wonderful opportunity to share our mutual heritage. Although I entered as a Wyckoff, Dom. Abraham Van Horne was a preacher in Mohawk (Fonda), New York for 38 years from 1794 almost until his death. I have enjoyed very much learning about the history of the Dutch in the region and look forward to hearing the family stories of others.

I included Schenk, Van Horne and Covenhoven materials as supplemental materials for the benefit of other members with my application.

RIGHT NOW may I announce that I have included mention of the Tulip Festival BEnefit and the Dutch Settlors Society in my new TV show in Holland that premiered there tonight. It is possible to view all the shows---there are 17 in all--- on the network's website www.manbijthond.nl. I hope you will be proud of the representation of the organization and its membership and will give the show 5 stars! Please feel free to comment on the web page and also participate in the live web chat scheduled in the afternoon of Sept 24th here after the show finishes broadcast there at 7:30 their time.

Hello All! Had a wonderful time at the Tulip Festival and especially appreciate Jay Jankovich's help in getting me to the parade on time!
All the members were so pleasant to enjoy the festivities with. I do look forward to returning for the St. Mickolas Dinner to meet more of you as well.
Meanwhile I have pictures of the Society and of the wonderful tulip beds to post. Can I get some help on directions how to do so? Thanks.
